Ram announces the Launch of a new 3.6-Liter Pentastar V-6 Engine with eTorque Mild-Hybrid System

RAM is preparing to launch a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 Engine with eTorque Mild-Hybrid system in Europe to provide more efficient and environmentally friendly options. This engine  blends power and performance, and is an important milestone in RAM’s product plan to offer engines with lower CO2 emissions. The unveiling took place at the German Grand Prix, RAM offers the latest cutting-edge technology. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque engine is a true engineering achievement, capable of generating 305 horsepower and an impressive 364 lb/ft of torque  while still delivering a thrilling and dynamic driving experience. Motoring enthusiasts got the chance to experience this mechanical marvel up close at the German Grand Prix, where it was officially unveiled to the press and fans. 

The arrival of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 eTorque engine will be used in the RAM 1500 Big Horn, RAM 1500 Laramie, and RAM 1500 Rebel models. These vehicles are known for their power, durability, and cutting-edge technology, offering a perfect combination of performance and efficiency. As part of RAM’s product roadmap, this engine marks a step forward towards more efficient and environmentally friendly engines. RAM seeks to respond to growing consumer demands in terms of sustainability and environmental responsibility. 

Currently the 2022 RAM 1500 trims come equipped with a V6 and V8 powertrains that all pair with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. The two engines are assisted by a 48-volt hybrid system. The 2022 Ram 1500 is capable of towing 12,750 pounds and carrying a payload of 2320 pounds. All RAM trucks offer an impressive smooth ride all thanks to its rear suspension. RAM offers an available air suspension feature which allows adjusting the ride height to aid in off-road ability.  

The classic truck continues to offer a super functional interior cabin filled with useful cubby storage and lots of passenger space. The truck stays ahead of the competition with a more luxury feel than most of the competition in its segment.
