Jeep Grand Cherokee Awarded Best Midsize Utility Vehicle

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been awarded Best Midsize Utility for the second year in a row by the 2024 MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards. The competition evaluates vehicles based on their technology, practicality, driving performance, fuel efficiency, and value. The Jeep Grand Cherokee’s 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicle technology pushes the SUV to the next level. MotorWeek held its annual Drivers’ Choice competition 43 years ago as a TV, automotive magazine series, and digital media. MotorWeek is the longest-running and most respected automotive series in the world.

The Jeep brand is known for its expertise in SUVs and its 4×4 capability, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee combines both. The SUV offers a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 293 horsepower and a plug-in hybrid 4xe powertrain. The 4xe powertrain consists of a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four and an electric motor which delivers a combined 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The Grand Cherokee’s 4xe plug-in hybrid technology offers a taste of what the Jeep brand can offer in the electric market. The hybrid motor is powered by a 14.0 kWh battery pack. The SUV features three selectable driving modes, Electric, Hybrid and e-Save, offering the best fuel economy and highest level environmental friendliness.
