Jeep and Ram Earn Awards From Texas Auto Writers Association

Ram and Jeep brands have been honored by the Texas Auto Writers Association, Stellantis took home nine awards making it the most awarded at the Texas Truck Rodeo competition. The vehicles enter a full day of on and off-road driving challenges which include 218 drives on the event route. Winners of the award are judged in interior/exterior styling, off-road capability, value, and performance. Overall Stellantis shined bright with its nine awards to various vehicles.
“Ram trucks brought their A-game again this year, winning several consecutive awards, including the Full-size Pickup Truck of Texas, and scoring the highest for overall personal appeal, which is significant because Texas is the truck capital of the US,” said Teia Collier, TAWA president. “We also enjoyed the lineup from the Jeep brand, with several vehicles that were the stars of their categories offering incredible performance, craftsmanship, and capability.”
The first of the nine vehicles was the 2023 Ram 1500 which won Full-Size Pickup Truck. The 2023 Ram 1500 TRX was awarded Off-Road Pickup Truck, and the 2023 Ram 1500 limited won Luxury Pickup Truck of the Year. Ram took home two more awards including the 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel as Heavy Duty Truck of the Year and finally the 2023 Ram 1500 for Highest Personal Appeal.
Moving onto the Jeep vehicles that were awarded, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee won the Mid-Size SUV and the 2024 Jeep Wrangler won the Off-Road SUV. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 won Best Performance and the Stellantis Uconnect 5 Nav system was awarded the Best Feature Award.
