Dodge has high Expectations for the Electric Charger

Dodge has been known for its infamous speed and acceleration, the Dodge charger has been an important pillar to the brands success. Dodge recently announced the end of its combustion engine muscle cars, the brand also disclosed that it will take its iconic muscle cars into the future with a powerful electric Charger and Challenger. An all-new all-electric lineup of muscle vehicles that will generate more horsepower than ever and feature the latest technology on the market. The Dodge brand has released teasers of its all-new eMuscle lineup, using inspiration from iconic models with modernized retro looks.
The new Dodge electric Charger teasers feature a fastback roofline and LED lighting showing a square front like that of the 1969 Dodge Charger. The front of the vehicle sports a long white LED light bar, with a lighted emblem right in the center of the grille. The Charger will be built on the STLA Large platform, one of four of the Stellantis battery electric vehicle platforms. The vehicle will have the ability to go from 0-60 in a time as low as 2 seconds and will carry a range of up to 500 miles per full charge. The automaker also hinted at a maximum power output of as high as 886 horsepower courtesy of a pair of 330-kilowatt electric motors
The new electric muscle car carries a triangular emblem in front with the color blue and is also found in the rear but in red. The same style of the Fratzog badge from the 1962-1976 Dodge models. Although the Dodge brand has announced the end of some of the most powerful engines in the world, fans are very excited for what the future holds in the electric muscle segment. The brand has confirmed an electric model for the Charger and Challenger but not for any other models in its lineup.
The 2023 Dodge Charger is known for the monstrous Hemi V-8 engine that is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. Entry-level trims have a V-6 engine as standard. The V-8 Scat Pack models offer the most power, with a 6.4-liter engine that generates 485-horsepower, the 5.7-liter V-8 engine models offer 370 horsepower and the V-6 models pump out 292-horsepower. Dodge has made various special editions before the end of one the brand’s iconic muscle car lineup.
