Chrysler Partners With Autism Society of America

The Chrysler brand has announced a new partnership with Autism of America at the New York International Auto Show. This big announcement came in during Autism Acceptance Month in April, the partnership will offer a new Calm Cabin package for the Chrysler Pacifica and the Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid models. The Calm Cabin package will help buyers with autism feel safe, comfortable, and most importantly calm. This long-term partnership will continue to listen to buyers’ needs and make travel more comfortable. The automaker plans to use its platforms to help collect donations to the Autism Society, donations can be made at AutismSociety.org/donate. 

The new Chrysler Calm Cabin package will feature a Seat-back organizer with adjustable straps, rechargeable cordless Bluetooth meditative light, and a sound therapy machine. The van also features a comfortin seat belt sleeve, soft touch pillow, and a weighted sensory blanket. Chrysler will team up with the Autism Society to help identify what areas the automaker can help support the autism community. Additionally, Chrysler will create a personalized dealership experience for people with autism and their family. The Calm Cabin packaged is available through Chrysler’s online merchandise retail store, collection.chrysler.com. 

The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica delivers two different engines, the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that offers up to 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The plug-in hybrid engine delivers top-of-the-line performance with the impressive hybrid 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. This powertrain serves mainly as a generator while providing power to the wheels in specific situations. The engine operates in an Atkinson Cycle, which uses a reduced air-fuel mixture to enhance efficiency. The hybrid-specific 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine produces an estimated 260 horsepower.

The 2022 Pacifica features dual overhead camshafts, high-flow intake and exhaust ports, Variable Valve Timing, and Electronic Throttle Control. The van is rated for 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, the 2022 Pacifica comes standard with Engine Stop/Start (ESS) technology that is capable of turning off the engine and stopping the fuel flow when the vehicle brakes to a full stop. When the brake pedal is released, the engine automatically restarts the nine-speed automatic transmission. Chrysler continues to focus on driver and passenger safety by adding the latest technology features available.

The 2022 Pacifica uses the Uconnect 5 infotainment system projected on a 10.1-inch touchscreen display that is framed by climate-control vents on the dashboard. The all-new Uconnect 5 offers a customizable home screen and Amazon Alexa integration with an optional Amazon Fire TV feature, standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto Integration can be connected wirelessly.
