Jeep is proud to announce the new eye-catching 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has made history. The 2023 Green 4×4 of the year award from Green Car Journal, one of the industry’s largest publications which demonstrates Jeep’s hard work in moving into the electric era. The winners received their awards at the annual San Antonio Auto show. The 2030 Dare Forward strategic plan, a plan which Jeep commits to cutting its carbon footprint by 50% by 2023 and lead the automotive industry by achieving zero carbon by 2028. The 2023 Grand Cherokee 4xe boasts an electric range of up to 30 miles and can achieve up to 51 miles of all-electric range while in the city. Under the hood of the 2023 Grand Cherokee 4xe is a high-tech 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine equipped with two motors that are paired with a new PHEV system. The 2023 Grand Cherokee also features a high-voltage battery pack and an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The 2023 Grand Cherokee 4xe standard version comes equipped with a two-speed transfer case, a transmission ratio in the low range of 2.72:1, and a climb ratio of 47.4:1. By equipping the Grand Cherokee with a Quadra-Lift air suspension, the vehicle is capable of up to 10.9 inches of ground clearance and achieves a high fording capability of 24 inches.
